Bluerock Consulting, the specialist financial services management consultancy, has appointed Vaughan Jenkins as its new CEO. Vaughan has been at Bluerock for over four years and previously headed up its Life & Pension practice. Vaughan replaces Julian Sawyer, who remains with the firm as a Board member to focus on its UK Banking and Cards practice.

Vaughan Jenkins said: “Bluerock Consulting is enjoying a record year in terms of profitability and we are growing with investment from BEE Team in Italy and recently acquiring the interests of Winchester White Consultants. It’s therefore a very exciting time to be taking over the reins from Julian, who started the business 12 years ago. His work with banks and card companies is absolutely crucial in this next phase of our growth.”

“Elsewhere, the implementation of RDR-related projects is high on our clients’ agenda and this is also a key area for us over the next couple of years. Our specialist knowledge of financial planning and related software tools is proving to be especially in demand. It is a very exciting time for us as a financial services specialist.”

Vaughan will continue to be responsible for Bluerock’s Life & Pensions practice but with Michelle Cracknell, who joined from Skandia last year, taking a leading part in Wealth Management, corporate retirement and employee benefits projects.

”The equity stake taken in Bluerock – says Stefano Achermann – is our Group’s first important step towards internationalization and supporting our principal clients who are today focusing a large part of their business on foreign projects. Bluerock, as well as having a strong position in London, boasts a significant presence in Eastern Europe (an important market for us) as well as owning a skill set with strong vertical competencies that are similar and complementary to those in B.E.E.
